Abzorb has installed the first phase of its new £1/2 million I.T. platform, which is set to transform the way it operates forever.
The Provida system has been built in-house by Abzorb’s I.T. manager Ben Sugden and has taken over 18 months to develop.
Geared specifically for Abzorb and the telecommunications industry’s needs, the CRM platform will complement the new state-of-the-art website by allowing users to interact as well as providing a wide-array of information for internal staff members.
Features include the ability to monitor and replenish stock levels, control accounts, improve customer relations and care, and eventually incorporate Abzorb’s billing and provisioning.
Managing Director at Abzorb, Dominic Waterson, said: “We have already seen significant improvements in the departments that are using the Provida system since it was introduced in April.
“It is a specialist system which will continue to be developed and improved as we use it and the idea behind it is to minimise human errors because it has the ability to work automatically across most of our departments.”
The Provida name was created by Abzorb’s Sarah Gibson following an internal competition among staff.
The name reflects Abzorb’s history with the ‘Pro’ section of the name acknowledging Abzorb’s founding name Protocall, ‘vi’ recognises Vitel Systems and Networks, and ‘da’ represents data, which the system stores and uses.
