A TELECOMS company in Brighouse has triumphed on the national stage.

Abzorb, which offers mobile phones, fixed lines, phone systems and network WAN and LAN for individuals and businesses, was among the winners at the CNA Comms National Awards, which were held before an audience of 600 business people at London’s Park Lane Hilton.

The company won the Mobile Distributor of the Year Award in competition with all UK-based telecoms companies.

Abzorb was nominated as a finalist before being announced as winners at the prestigious awards ceremony.

Abzorb sales director Faruk Amin said: “The CNA Comms National Awards recognise and reward excellence in the supply and implementation of innovative unified communications solutions to end users.

“Now in their ninth year, the awards are regarded as the ‘Oscars’ of the ICT channel. The awards have developed an undisputed reputation and being nominated is a huge accolade in itself.

“Winning, of course, is every channel company’s goal and the national recognition and integrity of the awards means the kudos gained is truly significant.”

Mr Amin said Abzorb, which has been in business for 15 years, had set a target for achieving turnover of between £25m and £30m by 2012 across its UK operations.

He said: “Abzorb’s success has been identified by the leading mobile and fixed line telecommunication industry, allowing us to transfer the benefits of our specially acquired status directly on to our clients we are service.

“We are providers for both BT and Vodafone, who are number one in their respective sectors.

“We have also built a devoted team of trained specialists to provide expert assistance in every section of telecoms and the highest level of attention to our customers’ needs.”
