Abzorb

On 17th July 2009, we held our 8th Annual Golf Day to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Research. Apart from the wet weather, the whole day was a great success.

The day started with a bacon butty and a cup of tea before the first tee off at 10am.  After a wet and tiring front thirteen, the golfers stopped at the half way house to grab a quick bite to eat before finishing the remaining holes. Once the eighteen holes had been completed, the golfers went straight into the clubhouse to dry off and compare scorecards.

To finish the evening off, everyone sat down to a three course meal before the trophies were awarded and the winners were revealed.

“Our eighth annual golf day was a resounding success, despite the horrendous weather! We would like to say a big thank you to all who attended.  You all passed the endurance test of 18 holes of demanding golf in torrential rain with flying colours!

Many thanks for your business and excellent support, it’s very much appreciated by everyone at Abzorb. We have already booked sunshine for next year’s event, so we hope very much you will be able to join us.”

This year, we have managed to raise £280 from our raffle, which we will double.  So £560 will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Research, a charity Abzorb has continued to support over the last eight years.
