PROVEN ABILITY HELPS ABZORB'S CLIENTS

Abzorb’s clients will soon be reaping the benefits of a new £50,000 billing platform which has been installed at the Brighouse headquarters.

The WLR3b Ability system will speed-up the operation of processing data and in the autumn is expected to have the capacity to allow clients to check their fixed line bills online.

It will also improve Abzorb’s direct link into BT Wholesale to take advantage of their wide products and services portfolio.

Abzorb technicians have been rigorously testing the next-generation billing system over a sustained period before it went live earlier this month.

Abzorb’s Billing Manager, Jonathan Southgate, said: “The Ability system will benefit us internally and our clients externally because its extra capacity and flexibility will enable it to grow with us and our customers.

“The current WLR2 system will be phased out in 2009 but we introduce the latest technology as soon as possible so we can pass the benefits directly on to our customers.

“Some of the key features include us being able to connect new lines and log and trace faults far faster than ever before and it really puts us in a league of us own in terms of provisioning.”

The self-management facility will see clients logging on through secure links and being able to see the current bill at any point in the month.
