Abzorb Connects BPI to Superfast Broadband

As a select, authorised supplier to the BDUK scheme, Abzorb will recommend the right connectivity for your business and organise the funding from your local council.  Up to £3000 Local Government Funding is available as a grant.

We have already connected a number of businesses to superfast broadband and one of these was, BPI Associates & Auctioneers, based in Normanton, Wakefield.

Due to their location, BPI Associates & Auctioneers has been suffering for years with slow internet connectivity, relying on an ADSL connection.  This impacted their business on several levels, such as uploading large image files to their website all of which took too long and was very problematic.  Once FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) became available in the area, the business was upgraded to superfast broadband with Abzorb’s help.

As an online auction house, internet connectivity is critical to BPI. BPI’s website, www.bpiauctions.com, delivers timed and live auctions, and broadcasts to over 400,000 registered users in 175 countries worldwide.

David Boulton, MD, BPI Associates & Auctioneers, added:

“We have always struggled with poor connectivity in the area and I was delighted to hear that we could upgrade to superfast broadband, and also apply for a grant to help with the installation costs as well.  To meet our customers’ needs, we were looking to future-proof our business with the latest technology, so we took advantage of the scheme.  We are pleased to be working with Abzorb.  They made the whole process simple and quick, taking just two days to apply for our Connection Voucher, through to getting our broadband up and running.  We are now benefiting from a more reliable connection and both higher upload and download speeds.”
