Abzorb Supports Andrew Gale Benefit Year 2016

Posted 6 years ago

West Yorkshire’s largest independent telecommunications service provider Abzorb is proud to announce it is supporting Andrew Gale benefit year, extending its growing footprint of partnerships with local institutions and charities.

Captain Andrew Gale is rewarded with benefit year by the Yorkshire County Cricket Club after more than a decade of service to the county. The 32 year old - the club’s youngest captain since the 1930s when he was appointed in 2009 - is one of the most successful and notable figures in the history of Yorkshire cricket. The skipper has already added two trophies to its silverware, having won consecutive Championships in 2014 and 2015, with aspirations to make it three title wins in a row in 2016.

Andrew’s passion for his profession also extends to the local charities. Andrew will be holding a series of events to help raise money for the Professional Cricketers Association Benevolent Fund, the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation and the Yorkshire Children’s Trust - a small local children's charity based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, offering grants to families with sick or disabled children.

Huddersfield Examiner Business of the Year 2015 and best known, most recently, for connecting Kirklees Businesses to a brand new Gigabit Internet Service, Abzorb has built its success on award winning customer care and a simplified approach to telecoms – sending one consolidated bill to cover all services for each customer.  Its national footprint has led Abzorb to managing the telecommunications for organisations such as University College London and the Campanile Hotel Group.

Andrew Gale commented:

'Being awarded a benefit year by Yorkshire CCC is a huge privilege and honour, and the icing on the cake after a few successful years. I have known about Abzorb for quite a while after seeing their generosity with the Huddersfield Town Foundation and I'm now excited to work alongside them throughout my benefit year.’

Steve Beeby, Director of Abzorb added:

“We are honoured to be able to support Andrew who is truly gifted and respected by his peers. Through our partnership, we hope that we will be able to help Andrew achieve success for his benefit year and chosen charities.”
