Abzorb Cyber-Security Event :
Safeguarding your network & staying Cyber-Secure

December 17th, 2026

Cyber-attacks continue to be a major threat & present huge security challenges for businesses. With more teams working remotely & across multiple sites, secure, reliable & robust connectivity is crucial.

In partnership with Cisco, we recently hosted an exclusive, in-person cyber security event in Leeds. We explored the evolving cyber landscape, emerging hacking and social engineering manipulation techniques, and the latest security solutions to protect against cyber-attacks.

The changing threat landscape

Keeping users, devices, and applications secure continues to be a real challenge for IT teams. We examined the changing threat landscape facing today’s small and mid-sized businesses, highlighting the most pressing cyber security challenges and the obstacles IT teams must overcome to stay protected.

cyber-attacks through a hacker’s perspective

Looking at cyber-attacks through a hacker’s perspective we explored how they manipulate people into disclosing sensitive information, which vulnerabilities they typically target first, and how businesses can defend against these tactics - key factors in today’s quickly changing cyber landscape, where social engineering plays a critical role in cyber incidents.

Cisco Meraki, enabling businesses to simplify security.

Scott Manson, Managing Director, Global Security Revenue Acceleration, Cisco UK & Ireland gave an overview of the changing cyber security environment and how cloud-managed platforms like Cisco Meraki are enabling businesses to simplify security.

Interactive Q&A session

Abzorb Account Manager Jonathan Goodall hosted our interactive Q&A session. Panellists included an ethical hacker and social engineer, Scott Manson from Cisco UK & Ireland and a representative from a Local Council.

In the session, we looked at how SMBs can effectively secure remote endpoints with limited resources, as well as how:

  • The rise of remote and hybrid work is reshaping the threat surface for SMBs.
  • Emerging threats or technologies will shape SMB cyber security in the next 2 - 3 years.
  • Having a practical security strategy is crucial to preventing cyber-attacks.
